Part of being REALTORS® is sharing life-changing moments with clients while helping them accomplish their homeownership dreams.
As your REALTORS®, we are not here to sell you anything. We are here to genuinely understand where you are coming from and help you. Real estate can be an overwhelming process, so we will be here to support you through each step. Patiently guiding you through this process, we know how to get you where you want to be. Also, we are fluent in Swahili, English and Kikuyu.
With our many years of combined experience and Daniel’s knowledge of the area, we keep our clients moving forward even when obstacles arise. People are what we enjoy most about this process, especially helping them accomplish their goals. As a nurse for many years, I spent my days building relationships with patients while getting them through their most difficult challenges.
My deep connection with others will never change, whether in real estate or medicine. In everything we do, we are here to support and encourage. Once the transaction is closed, we will continue supporting your success as your lifelong REALTORS®.
We each had a plan to build our futures, then life took unexpected turns. Through finding success and each other despite every challenge, we have built a life we are proud of in this beautiful place, all while remembering a key lesson.
Daniel – “You have two choices. You can find the money to pay for school yourself or else you will be deported in 90 days.”
I thought I was going to start my first day of work; the whole reason I had moved to the U.S. from Kenya after 10 years of trying to secure a visa. Then, right as I arrived, my entire plan evaporated. I had left behind my wife at the time and our two young children with the intention of bringing them to the U.S. six months after me. Though I had no idea what I was going to do, I refused to give up.
I did whatever I needed to do to stay, taking the minimum course requirements at the community college. After paying for tuition, I had no money left over at all. I scraped together what I could to send home to my family, but it was not much. After two years, I discovered a summer job as an irrigation engineer – my field of expertise. Through it, I connected with helpful professors who guided me back onto the path I came here for.
I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Finally, after five years of separation and nine rejections from the U.S. Embassy in Kenya, I was reunited with my family. Unfortunately, my wife and I had grown apart, and in the face of that struggle it was difficult to rebuild my relationships with my children. Still, I did not give up.
I moved to North Carolina for work, reached out to my children, and remarried before having my youngest son. In 2006, I got into real estate. I started out in loans but discovered a passion for my work as an agent and switched over within a couple years. I continued my engineering career along with real estate until 2013, when I became a full-time REALTOR®.
Early in life, I realized nothing great is ever easy. I kept that in mind and am proud of the person my experiences have made me today.
Maggie – I met Daniel in 2017. He opened my eyes to the dream of homeownership and life in North Carolina. We married in 2018, and I moved here with my daughter. I was immediately captivated by Daniel’s enthusiasm for his work.
I came to the U.S. from Kenya to further my education in Iowa. After earning my bachelor’s in business, I went to nursing school and began my career in healthcare. I fell in love with nursing through my work experiences in healthcare, witnessing the crucial relationships nurses built with their clients in mental health wards. While beginning my nursing career in Massachusetts, I also became a single mother.
My years in the medical field have heightened my patience and empathy. Though there were tough days at work and at home balancing it all, I kept in mind that I was not the only person facing this challenge. None of us is truly alone in our struggles, and remembering the bigger picture kept me grounded.
I got into medicine to help others and leave a positive impact, which sparked my interest in real estate. Helping people accomplish a goal rather than solve a problem intrigued me, and I became a licensed REALTOR® joining Daniel’s team in 2022. Spreading joy and encouraging others have been driving forces in my professional life in medicine and real estate. While nothing great is ever easy, it can become easier together.
